KingfishConnection.com Tours Intrepid Factory

On April 2nd 2013, the KingfishConnection.com staff accepted an invitation from Intrepid’s President Ken Clinton to take a tour of their plant in Largo, Florida. Ryan Farner and Cawley Snibbe were joined by writer and photographer Sam White for the tour, which lasted nearly two hours and wound its way through every major area of design and construction, from Clinton's front office to the production lines leading straight out to the freeway.
First impressions? Snibbe, Farner and White had each toured various boatbuilders in the past, including Fountain, Contender, Yellowfin and even Viking, and the Intrepid plant left a strong imprint. Congratulations to Team Reel Won for winning 1st Place at the NBOA Marine Insurance Gulf Coast Open Fishing Tournament with a 42.36lb kingfish! For over 25 years, NBOA has been sponsoring and attending fishing tournaments and boat shows across the country. Our dedicated staff, many of whom are avid boaters and anglers themselves, realized that the best way to portray our commitment to the marine world is to provide a fishing tournament in Sarasota that will go above and beyond all others. Going into its third year hosting the Gulf Coast Open, NBOA is discussing, strategizing and developing ways to make the tournament even better.
